I got a 'Packard Bell Dot S' notebook last week which runs on Windows 7 Starter, and over the last few days the screen had frozen and the keyboard and mouse rendered useless and ctrl alt delete doesnt work so the only way to restart the computer is through force shutdown.

When I last turned it on it come up with the message "change battery pack or connect to power".

Also can I run this model laptop with out a battery pack? I have the above laptop and I'm not sure what's wrong with it, I think it may be the battery.
